• Spy Gadgets is an example of expository writing
  because it describes how surveillance tools can
  keep people safe but can also invade their
  privacy.

• A good expository paragraph begins by stating the
  topic it tells what the paragraph is mostly
  about.
• Underline the topic sentence.

• A strong topic sentence has a controlling idea
  that makes the writers point about the topic.

• Details in the paragraph support the topic
  sentence.
• Check three important details.

• The concluding sentences restates the topic and
