Who Needs a 1099?

• Individuals, sole proprietors, attorneys (see
  note below), partnerships and certain LLC's to
  whom you have paid more than 600 in rents,
  services (including parts and materials), crop
  insurance proceeds, cash paid from a notional
  principal contract to an individual, partnership
  or estate.
• You must also file Form 1099-Misc to each person
  from whom you have withheld any federal income
  tax under the backup withholding rules regardless
  of the amount.

• NOTE Attorneys fees (including corporations)
  over 600 must be reported.
