Persuasive Speech on Android OS vs. IOS
  • By Sergei Macbeth

2
Quote
  • As a matter of fact, when compression technology
came along, we thought the future in 1996 was
about voice. We got it wrong. It is about voice,
video, and data, and that is what we have today
    on these cell phones.
  • Steve Buyer

3
Android OS is
  • Android is a software stack for mobile devices
that includes an operating system, middleware and
    key applications.

4
IOS is
  • iOS (known as iPhone OS before June 2010) is
    Apple's mobile operating system. Originally
developed for the iPhone, it has since been
extended to support other Apple devices such as
the iPod touch, iPad and Apple TV.

5
Competition between Android OS vs. IOS
6
4 Reasons why Android is better
  • Home Screens and Widgets
  • Flash support
  • Customizability
  • Open source, third party-application

7
Conclusion
  • In the US, Google Android held a market share of
36.4, while Apple dropped to 26, barely
managing to remain ahead of RIMM who held 25.7
of the market share. Androids steady rise was
obvious as it held 26 in November 2010, grew to
31.2 in January and finally reached 36.4 by the
end of May 2011. At this rate, Android looks
powerful enough to hold 50 of the market share
by the end of the year.
