Putting the conclusion together
  • Re-state your thesis in different words
  • Choose an ending strategy thats appropriate for
    your topic.
  • Summarize your main points OR give a
recommendation OR make a prediction OR come full
    circle OR use a quotation.

3
Things to avoid
  • Dont change your stance!
  • Avoid tired expressions
  • In conclusion, to conclude, in summary
  • Dont lecture or sermonize
  • Dont say, As I have stated above

A good conclusion
  • Now that you have learned the fabulous Teacher
Suck-up Method, you too can improve your grades
by getting your instructors to know you by name
and see you as a real person who needs their help
to succeed. By coming to classes on time, sitting
up front, asking your teachers about their day,
taking notes, asking questions, being polite, and
visiting your instructors after class, you will
influence them to give you a higher grade. Your
instructors will remember who you are and believe
you have really tried hard. The Teacher Suck-up
Method really works. Try it. You will definitely
see real improvement in your grades.

Another good conclusion
  • Good friends are a true blessing, and friends
turned enemy can destroy all our happiness with
their betrayals of our trust. As William Blake
says in his poem, we tell our friends when we are
angry and that makes their anger go away before
it can do any harm. Keeping open lines of
communication is essential in every relationship.
Maybe if we checked regularly with our friends to
make sure we have not done anything to anger
them, even if it was by mistake, we might keep
their friendship and keep them from becoming
    enemy friends.
