  regulates his or her own behavior

• Good Character A person who uses self-control
  to act on responsible values
• Delayed Gratification voluntarily postponing an
  immediate reward in order to complete a task
  before enjoying a reward.
• Ex Suppose you need to study for a test
  tomorrow. But tonight is the opening night of a
  movie you want to see. A friend tells you to see
  the movie instead of studying. You use
  self-control and study, and delay going to the
  movie until after you have studied for the test.
