    sports science (founded in 1958) received a boost
    in funding to renew and modernise the facilities
    and increase staffing levels
  • Canada (Vancouver 2010) 8 M Can Dollars
    investment in science activities in Sport, Own
    the Podium raised funds to increase Sports
    Science and Medicine activities, renovate and
    establish 4 Canadian Sports Institutes (still
    ongoing Montreal, B.C., Toronto and Calgary)
  • Brazil (Rio 2016) already announced 7m
    investment for a new Olympic Lab in Rio
