2Project Overview
- Select and integrate with AYUSHMAN testbed a
Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) monitoring
system that measures - Systolic Pressure
- Diastolic Pressure
- Arterial Pressure
- Heart Rate
- Broadcast procured data over a wireless network
to specified remote Host station and PDAs.
3NIBP Device Selection Criteria
- Measures Systolic, Diastolic, and Arterial
Pressure, and Heart Rate - Bi-Directional RS-232 Communication
- Meets Medical Standards
- Energy-Efficient
- Motion-Tolerant

8Battery Life
- Voltage Use
- The device operates between 6vdc and 14.5vdc. The
device will not operate when the voltage is below
5.3vdc. Starting with a voltage of 6vdc the
device will operate 20 times between battery
changes, the batteries would sustain the amps
required, but the voltage would drop to 5.3vdc.
When changed to 9vdc the last count of successful
operation was 45 times and counting. The team
used off the shelf plastic battery holder that
hold AA cells, with standard snap connection for
ease of change.
