A short history of Macmillan

• Founded by Douglas Macmillan in 1911. He aimed to
  provide all people affected by cancer with
• advice and information
• free or low-cost care
• voluntary nurses supporting people in their own
  homes.
• In 2006, Macmillan Cancer Relief evolved to
  become Macmillan Cancer Support.
