Aviation Ground Support Equipment
Mission Exercise authority for the centralized
life-cycle management of the United States Army's
Aviation Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), execute
system management functions for meeting force
structure requirements, while simultaneously
supporting AGSE, and manage programmatic and
technical requirements, ILS support, planning,
programming, budgeting and execution of funds and
related activities for assigned AGSE.
Portfolio includes
Standard Aircraft Towing System (SATS) provides
a provisioned means to move all Army rotary wing
fixed wing and aviation ground support equipment
around the flight line as needed.
Aviation Ground Power Unit (AGPU)
semi-automatic, gas turbine driven,
wheel-mounted, self-propelled, enclosed unit that
provides AC/DC electrical, hydraulic and
pneumatic power support to all Army rotary
aircraft
Shop Equipment Contact Maintenance Vehicle
(SECM) M1079A3 van capable of transporting a
crew of three and mission essential equipment,
expendable supplies, spares and repair parts to
fix or recover a downed helicopter
Aviation Light Utility Mobile Maintenance Cart
(ALUMMC) cart that will transport maintenance
personnel, materials, test equipment, parts and
tools around the flight line as needed.
Common Aviation Tool System (CATS) modernization
program to upgrade existing tool kits utilized
throughout Army Aviation

High Freq/Ultra High Freq Line of Sight satellite
communication system supports DoD requirements
for airborne, multiband, multi-mission, secure
anti-jam voice, data and imagery network
capable communication in a compact radio set
AN/ARC 201D Single Channel Ground and Airborne
Radio System (SINCGARS) tactical airborne radio
subsystem that provides secure, anti-jam voice
and data communications uses channels in the
Very High Freq FM band and allows both single
frequency and frequency hopping modes

Aviation Networks and Mission Planning
Mission Enhance the mission planning,
situational awareness, maintenance management,
and command and control capabilities of the Army
Aviation Warfighter through the development and
deployment of state-of-the-art mission planning,
automated logistics, and interoperability tools
and products, thereby enhancing combat mission
effectiveness, battlefield lethality and
synchronization, aircrew situational awareness,
aircraft survivability, and mission readiness.
Portfolio includes
Avn Mission Planning System (AMPS) a
lightweight, portable ruggedized workstation that
automates aviation mission planning tasks,
including tactical command and control,
rehearsal, and flight planning provides the
aviation Commander with continuous situational
awareness, allowing for rapid adjustment and
dissemination of mission plans
Improved Data Modem (IDM) performs as an
internet controller and gateway to the Tactical
Internet for Army aircraft. The IDM provides
radio connectivity to the ARC-201D, ARC-231, and
the Blue Force Tracker AVX-06/MT-2011 transceiver
Centralized Aviation Flight Record System
(CAFRS) automated information system designed to
manage aviation personnel flight and training
records
Aviation Data Systems Family of Systems (ADS
FoS) effort to automate tactical Army Aviation
Logistics environment to support at aircraft
maintenance processes in both connected and
disconnected environments a family of systems
comprised of the Aircraft Notebook (ACN),
Aviation Data Exploitation Capability (ADEC) and
the Aviation Logistics Enterprise Platform (ALE
P)

Air Traffic Control
Mission Exercise centralized life-cycle
management of the assigned tactical and fixed
base air traffic control equipment to function in
both the National Airspace System and
military/joint use airspace at home and abroad.
Manage technical requirement/support, ILS
programs, financial programs and related
activities for assigned system/subsystems.
Portfolio includes
Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS)
provides automated Airspace Command and Control
(AC2) for Commanders, en route Air Traffic
Service (ATS) capabilities for ATS companies and
provides the linkage to Joint airspace
management process.
ATC Common Simulator (ACS) a training device
capable of replication ATC tasks associated with
the MOTS and ATNAVICS systems the ACS allows up
to 50 of proficiency training to be complete via
the simulator
