Project IEEE 802.15 Working Group for Wireless

ee.org Re Abstract The following report
summarizes the WG reflectors and possible next
steps. Purpose The WG reflectors are manually
maintained. There are a variety of inputs to
this manual process but in the end it is manual.
The Mailing Lists are maintained by Mike McInnis
and are quite hard to manage as we now have seven
reflectors to manage. This manual process can be
delegated to the subscriber and they can self
maintain their subscriptions but we lose the
ability to capture their full coordinate
information. We recommend that the Task Group
reflectors be self maintained but that WG
reflectors remain the same e.g.,
stds-802-wpan_at_ieee.org and stds-802-15_at_ieee.org.
The lost coordinate info for the TG reflectors is
interesting but not required by the
WG. Notice This document has been prepared to
assist the IEEE 802.15. It is offered as a basis
for discussion and is not binding on the

The key is that the Joint reflector has ONLY
the Joint traffic not ALL the target reflector
traffic too. Easier to search.

Next Steps
  • Change TG4 reflector
  • from
  • stds-802-15-lrsg_at_ieee.org
  • to
  • stds-802-15-4_at_ieee.org
  • Change maintenance of TG reflectors to self
    maintenance.
  • Modify All Headers/Footers to make it more
    consistent e.g., TG1
  • Add to e-mail Subject line 802.15.1
  • Add reflector archive URL on footer/signature
