The Purpose of the TAV
  • To help HSTW/MMGW/TCTW schools plan for improving
    student learning
  • TAV Team members become a TCTW investigation team
  • To identify promising school and classroom
    practices and
  • To find evidence for strategic recommendations to
    more deeply implement the TCTW five Priorities!

  • The purpose is not to evaluate or accredit
  • The purpose is not to suggest facility repairs
  • The purpose is not to be critical

How do Schools Receive a TAV?

    annually

TAV- Site Visit Schedule
  • Day 1 TAV team arrives (afternoon)
  • School presentation
  • Team orientation to TCTW Priorities, to the
    building and to receive assignments for
    observations and interviews
  • Day 2 Classroom observations Interviews Team
    Debrief and Consensus
  • Day 3 Exit Conference School Feedback

  • Team Orientation and Preparations

  • TA Team assembles at assigned site location 30
    minutes prior to beginning of school.
  • Observations/Interviews in the morning
  • Interviews/Observations in the afternoon
  • Team will meet after close of school at assigned
    location for debriefing.
  • Debriefing three-five hours
