Main Idea
  • Mayor Baker of Nashville Tennessee argued that
    Urban areas, that have grown in size since 1901
    were underrepresented. Baker said that the people
    of urban areas were denied to vote. This of
    course is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment.

  • The government at the time still abided to the
    population of urban areas from 1901.

  • Because of this court case the Court formulated
    the famous one-person, one-vote standard.
