54 Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought
Him into the high priests house. But Peter
followed at a distance.  55 Now when they had
kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and
sat down together, Peter sat among them.
3
56 And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he
sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said,
This man was also with Him. 57 But he
denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him.
4
58 And after a little while another saw him and
said, You also are of them. But Peter said,
Man, I am not! 59 Then after about an hour
had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying,
Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is
a Galilean.
5
60 But Peter said, Man, I do not know what you
are saying! Immediately, while he was still
speaking, the rooster crowed.  61 And the Lord
turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered
the word of the Lord, how He had said to
him, Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me
three times.  62 So Peter went out and wept
bitterly. (Luke 22)

If Jesus Looked At Me
  • Would He see sin? I John 110 34-6

27
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make
Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
(I John 1)
4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness,
and sin is lawlessness.  5 And you know that He
was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him
there is no sin.  6 Whoever abides in Him does
not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor
known Him. (I John 3)
28
If Jesus Looked At Me
  • Would He see sin? I John 110 34-6
  • Would He see sorrow? 2 Cor. 79-10

29
9 Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry,
but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you
were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might
suffer loss from us in nothing.  10 For godly
sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation,
not to be regretted but the sorrow of the world
produces death. (2 Corinthians 7)
30
If Jesus Looked At Me
  • Would He see sin? I John 110 34-6
  • Would He see sorrow? 2 Cor. 79-10
  • Would He see negligence? Heb. 23-4

31
3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a
salvation, which at the first began to be spoken
by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who
heard Him,  4 God also bearing witness both with
signs and wonders, with various miracles, and
gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own
will? (Hebrews 2)
32
If Jesus Looked At Me
  • Would He see sin? I John 110 34-6
  • Would He see sorrow? 2 Cor. 79-10
  • Would He see negligence? Heb. 23-4
  • Or diligence? 2 Peter 110-11

33
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to
make your call and election sure, for if you do
these things you will never stumble  11 for so
an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly
into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1)

If Jesus Looked At Me

  • Would He see negligence? Heb. 23-4
  • Or diligence? 2 Peter 110-11
  • Would He see faithfulness? Rev. 210

35
10 Do not fear any of those things which you are
about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to
throw some of you into prison, that you may be
tested, and you will have tribulation ten days.
Be faithful until death, and I will give you the
crown of life. (Revelation 2)

God Sees It All
  • Nothing hidden from Him - Heb. 413

38
13 And there is no creature hidden from His
sight, but all things are naked and open to the
eyes of Him to whom we must give
account. (Hebrews 4)
39
God Sees It All
  • Nothing hidden from Him - Heb. 413
  • My thoughts - Luke 66-11

40
6 Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that
He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man
was there whose right hand was withered.  7 So
the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely,
whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they
might find an accusation against Him.
41
8 But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man
who had the withered hand, Arise and stand
here. And he arose and stood.  9 Then Jesus said
to them, I will ask you one thing Is it lawful
on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save
life or to destroy?
42
10 And when He had looked around at them all, He
said to the man, Stretch out your hand. And he
did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the
other. 11 But they were filled with rage, and
discussed with one another what they might do to
Jesus. (Luke 6)

God Sees It All
  • Nothing hidden from Him - Heb. 413
  • My thoughts - Luke 66-11
  • My words - Psalm 1391-4

44
1  O Lord, You have searched me and
known me. 2  You know my sitting down and my
rising up You understand my thought afar off.
45
3  You comprehend my path and my lying down, And
are acquainted with all my ways. 4  For there is
not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You
know it altogether. (Psalm 139)
46
God Sees It All
  • Nothing hidden from Him - Heb. 413
  • My thoughts - Luke 66-11
  • My words - Psalm 1391-4
  • Even secret things - Ecclesiastes 1214

47
14    For God will bring every work into
judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether
good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12)
48
God Sees It All
  • Nothing hidden from Him
  • My thoughts
  • My words
  • Even secret things will be judged

49
Imagine how Peter must have felt when Jesus
looked at him, knowing how he had failed? We
must recognize that there is nothing in our lives
hidden from God, that He sees everything, both
good and bad. And He has offered us forgiveness
in Christ!
50
What does He see when He looks at you? Are there
things in your life you need to fix? Why not now?
