  • Honorarium
  • Upper limit of the honorarium for Anganwadi
    Worker per annum may be enhanced from Rs. 12000
    to Rs. 12763 per annum in order to cover the
    increased expenditure consequent on the payment
    of higher rate of honorarium on completion of 5
    years and 10 years.
  • Medicine Kit
  • The upper limit of Rs. 600 per Anganwadi/annum
    may be increased to Rs. 1000 due to the increase
    in cost of medicine
  • Pre-School kit
  • The Upper limit of Rs. 500 may be enhanced Rs.
    1000 per AW/annum due to the increase in the cost
    of raw materials

Kishori Shakti Yojna (KSY)
  • Major Goal
  • Enhance the nutritional and health status of the
    adolescent girls.
  • Improvement of social status of adolescent girls.
  • Implementation of KSY
  • Initially the scheme was introduced in 13 project
  • Subsequently extended to 150 projects covering
    the whole State

Additional inputs provided by State Government
  • GOK provided financial assistance for the
    construction of AW building _at_3 lakhs for 1472
    AWCs-2005-2006 .
  • Under Modernisation of Government Programme 1102
    AWC have been selected for service delivery
    improvement and infrastructure development. The
    estimated project cost is Rs. 48 cores, out of
    which Rs. 20 cores spent during 2005-06.
  • Conducted training need analysis for ICDS
    functionaries
  • Developed training modules and organised special
    training programme
  • Under MGP initiatives training was imparted to
    all AWW in quality service delivery
  • 11th Plan approach is to upgrade all AWC as
    Community Resource Centres. At present 247 AWC in
    14 districts have been provided with computer and
    accessories.

Additional inputs provided by State Government
  • Local Self Government in the State have set
    apart 10 of the total plan allocation for
    women empowerment activities and 5 for
    children, old aged and disabled persons
    programme.
  • Government have constituted ICDS coordination
    committees from Panchayath level to State level
    for effective convergence of service.
  • Govt. have formulated the State Plan of Action
    for Child in Kerala 2004 and declared it as a
    Policy Document for implementation in the State.
  • State Govt. have adopted a policy to make the
    State Malnutrition Free.
