    is at home. Individuals can substantially
    REDUCE, REUSE, AND RECYCLE waste and conserve
    resources by practicing the following

REDUCE To cut the amount of WASTE used
  • SOLID WASTE (consuming and conserving)
  • Packaging
  • Choose products with minimal packaging
  • Paper Products
  • Reduce the amount of paper products used
  • Other
  • Identify products and practices to reduce waste
    toxicity. (Batteries, pesticides, cleaners,
    polishes, deodorizers, etc.)
  • REDUCE the amount of paper products used.

  • Lighting
  • Use fluorescent, energy saving bulbs
  • Use sunlight
  • Surface Units
  • Size of pansize of burner
  • Use lids

  • Choose 1 partner and create a poster that will
    serve as a public service announcement for
    someone that has no idea how to reduce, reuse,
    and recycle in the kitchen.
  • Your poster should encourage the person to use
    conservation techniques!
  • Include information from the previous notes,
    pictures, reasons why conservation is important,
    and PICTURES OR GRAPHICS!
