• These games are for people with intellectual
  disabilities.
• They are held every 4 years.
• The training and Games help these athletes to
  develop their sporting skills and to enjoy taking
  part in sporting events with others.
• The Special Olympics were held in Ireland in
  2003.
• This was the first time the Games were held
  outside of America.
• Over 7,000 athletes from all over the world took
  part.
• The opening and closing ceremonies were held in
  Croke Park
