Getting inside the idea

• On a Saturday afternoon in November 2011, Jenni,
  a young expert in supply chains from Helsinki,
  walked down the Marktstrasse in Dornbirn,
  heading towards Marktplatz. She had come to
  Vorarlberg to work in an international company in
  the Rhine Valley. As she had also worked in Hong
  Kong and Mexico, she was used to just-landed
  situations. This afternoon she wanted to explore
  where people meet socially. Walking down the
  main street of the city, she couldnt see
  anybody. Where am I!, she asked herself
  shocked, it is Saturday and there is nobody out
  on the streets of the city! Where do people meet
  in Vorarlberg?
• Just imagine what if, before coming to
  Vorarlberg, Jenni had found information in the
  Internet about events where international
  professionals meet in a relaxed atmosphere? That
  there is a place for international exchange with
  a global-minded atmosphere, where English is
  spoken and information can be obtained
  face-to-face?
• She would build up an open-minded picture of
  Vorarlberg before arriving there. Once
  established in the region, she would visit these
  events and would feel welcomed in a spirit of
  internationality. It would be easy for her to
  connect and make friendships with others from
  abroad and with local people. She herself would
  then spread the image of international
  Vorarlberg to her friends all over the world,
  telling them about its welcoming, international
  attitude.
