services leading to Academic Success Independ
ence and Personal Growth

Goals of the Student Academic Success Center
  • Identify students in need of services
  • Provide a program of services including
  • An intensive academic support component
  • Regular, weekly tutoring session plus weekly
    academic success workshops
  • An ongoing drop-in component
  • Provide an opportunity for student growth and
    involvement through peer tutoring

  • Identifying processing strengths and weaknesses
  • Identify specific content skill level
  • Establishing goals (broken down into specific
    skills)
  • Monitoring development of study strategies, use
    of time management, academic achievement, and
    program attendance
