Kryvoozerskiy District

• The district is located in the northwestern part
  of Mykolayiv region.
• Area
• 8.1 sq.km (3.2 of the region total
  territory).
• Boundaries the district borders with
  Pervomayskiy, Vradyyvksiy districts of Mykolayiv
  region with Kirovohrad region (Holovanivkiy
  district) on the north, with Odesa region
  (Lyubashivkiy, Savranivkiy districts) on the
  west.
• The number of settlements - 27 (Urban villages
  1, villages - 26).
• Population 25.7 thousand people. (Including
  working population - 15.4 thousand people -
  (59.6)

Resource and raw material potential

• Water resources
• Inland waters - 137 ponds with the total area of
  368.5 hectares.
• Rivers The Southern Bug, Kodyma, Bulboka.
• Forestry 4857 ha, or 5.9 of the total
  district area.
• Agricultural land 69.6 thousand ha, including
  arable land - 61.2 thousand ha
• Natural resources sand, granite, red-brown clay,
  bottles and gravel, uranium ore, alluvial
  deposits of river valleys.

  Mykolaiv department of the bank branch
  "Privatbank", Department of Aval Bank.
• Transport communications are
  well-developed. Conveyance of passengers is
  carried by 6 suburban routes. Bus network covers
  21 district localities. The main route is Kryve
  Ozero Mykolaiv.
• The road of national importance, the
  highway Kyiv-Odessa 24.6km crosses the district
  area. Public roads - 781.4 km, including earth
  roads - 136.9km. hard surface roads - 644.5 km,
  roads with improved surface (asphalt) - 512.6 km.
  Through Kryve Ozero station bus routes pass to
  Kyiv, Odesa, Kherson, Sevastopol, Vinnitsa,
  Chernigov, Cherkassy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and
  other cities of Ukraine.  

Gasification and water supply
1 of 27 district settlements is gasified
(3.7). The total number of gas networks is 18
km, 117 homes are gasified. Rayon water supply
comprises 82 km of water supply systems and 14
artesian wells. Water pipes are used in 27
settlements.

Social and cultural sphere

• Education
• The Rayon has 19 secondary schools and 19
  pre-schools. Childrens sport school and
  Childrens art school develop creative potential.
  Comprehensive boarding is located at the
  territory of Berezkivka village council. There
  is the professional education institution Kryve
  Ozero professional agrarian lyceum (PAL).
• Health
• Medical care in the area is provided by
  Central district hospital, 4 rural medical
  clinics and 16 health posts, with the staff of
  346 people, including 55 physicians, 166 -
  nurses.
• Culture
• Cultural institution network is represented by
• 1 Children's Art School
• 18 rural libraries
• 13 rural culture houses
• 7 rural clubs
• 4 historical and regional museums.

Tourist Potential

• Kryve Ozero district is rich in
  various recreation areas, ponds, rockies, pine
  and mixed forests, rivers the Southern Bug,
  Kodyma, Bulboka. The district has two nature
  reserve objects, Special geobotanical zone "
  Lukanivka Forest and reserve Kuryachelozivka
  tract.

• District industry is represented by 3 industrial
  enterprises JSC "Duke", close corporation "Kryve
  Ozero flavoring factory" Ltd. "Fodder Plant.
• The rayon has 10 mills, 15 oil factories 5
  hulling mills, 4 pasta shops, 4 mini bakeries and
  a sausage shop.
• About 98 of industrial enterprises belong to the
  area of food and processing industry.
• There are two canning plants in the district.
