Title: YOUR DREAM TRIP to the NATIONAL GAMES

1
YOUR DREAM TRIP to the NATIONAL GAMES
2
THE BEGINNING
  • Mike Michalski is best known as the founder of
the AYSO National Games. After running an annual
tournament in Southern California for a number of
years, he decided to invite AYSO players from
all over the U.S. to one location to play in a
tournament. That tournament has become the AYSO
    National Games.

3
AYSO MICHALSKI SPORTSMANSHIP CUP
  • The AYSO Michalski Sportsmanship Cup is an
honor dedicated to AYSO Hall of Famer and founder
of the AYSO National Games, Michael "Mike"
Michalski and celebrates teams that display good
    sportsmanship, fairness and respect.

    programs - Core and/or Extra
  • Must submit all programs/ Divisions/Genders in
which Region/Area is interested in participating
  • Lottery Intent Form must be signed and submitted
by RC/AD no later than May 26, 2013 at NAGM

8
LOTTERY DRAW
  • Lottery draw takes place at the 2013 NAGM in
Washington D.C. on Sunday morning for all
    programs/divisions/genders. All lottery intents
that were submitted by the deadline are included
    in the first draw.
  • The first 24 teams to receive an invitation comes
from a combination of the draw order and
    geographical diversity guidelines.
  • The list of teams that will receive 1st round
invites should be posted by dinnertime Sunday.
  • REMEMBER
  • THESE INVITATIONS ARE ONLY THE 1ST ROUND
    INVITES.

9
LOTTERY DRAW
  • AYSO wants teams from all over the country in
every division/gender represented at the National
    Games.
  • The 1st tier invites are not just based on the
first teams out of the hat.
  • Geographical diversity determines the 1st round
of invitations which are sent out. If you are
from an Area/Section that does not have a lot of
teams in the draw, you have a better chance to
    receive a 1st round invitation.

10
INVITES
  • There are three tiers of the Lottery Intent
    Drawing -
  • 1st tier the 1st 24 slots in each
    division/gender, based on geographical diversity,
to receive invite. Teams move from tier 2 to
tier 1 as they become eligible to receive an
    invitation.
  • 2nd tier Holding tier for all teams awaiting an
invitation . Invitations continue being sent to
teams in tier 2 until all slots filled or January
    31, 2014
