• Pair of gloves
• One hand is clean and other is not( clean and
  hold the penis)

Position of the patient

• Lying flat ,underwear pulled down

Sterile field

• Sterile field sheet with a hole

Penis

• Retract the foreskin
• Clean the glans and external meatus outward

Inject gel

• Inject gel and hold the penis 1 minute

introduce the catheter

• Holding the catheter in a sterile field ,
  advance it into the urethra gently but quickly
• Aske the patient to cough

Inflate the tube

• Inflate the tube with 10 ml salin

End

• Tidy up and fix the catheter bag to the side of
  the bed
• Replace the foreskin

Record

• Record over 20 minutes
• Assessing rehydration
