  • According to The Data Warehousing Institute,
    U.S. businesses suffer losses, problems or costs
    of more than 600 billion per year due to poor
    quality data, and typically between 10 to 25 of

  • By 2012, dirty data will cause 50 of insurers
    to have compromised decision-making assumptions,
    despite the deployment of enhanced BI and

  • A European Gartner BI survey of more than 600 BI
    users found that more than 35 per cent identified
    data quality as a top-three BI problem facing
    their organisation in the next 12-18 months,

Data Hygiene - ERP Implementations
  • ERP implementations are often measured by
    go-live date. Data Hygiene even though an
    important milestone in implementation is often
    ignored due to pressures of go-live date.
  • 65 of CIOs in APAC feel that prime reason for
    their dissatisfaction on their ERP
    implementations is that they have bad data.
    Garbage in and garbage out is commonly heard in
    meetings between IT and Business.

    only when BI systems are implemented after ERP

    Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI) that evaluates
