To strengthen the coordination and capacity of
NGOs to deliver appropriate, higher quality,
more effective and quicker humanitarian
responses

DFID has awarded the CBHA an initial two-year
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of 8 Million

Capacity Building Sub-committee CARE, Cafod,
Islamic Relief, Tearfund Implemented by Action
Aid, Oxfam and Save the Children Addresses the
human capacity of member agencies through
initiatives that address core humanitarian
competencies, leadership, surge capacity,
building capacity in existing national and
international staff, and bringing new talent into
the sector
ERF Sub-committee Christian Aid, Merlin,
HelpAge, Plan, World Vision Disburses flexible
pre-positioned funds to NGOs in advance of other
funding to facilitate a rapid response Enables
those agencies that are best placed in each case
to respond All consortium members vote via
teleconference All programmes completed within
30 days
