Who can attend K-12 schools?
  • All children are required to attend school in US
    regardless of immigration status
  • US Schools are constitutionally BOUND to provide
all necessary services to produce a free and fair
    education for ALL students
  • Schools may not make extreme requirements to
exclude students (i.e. parents must hold DL or
SSN card to admitthese practices are illegal)

3
WHO CAN GO TO COLLEGE?
  • US citizens
  • Legal US residents
  • Undocumented US residents at the discretion of
the school no laws regulate institutions of
higher education as they do K-12 schools

4
How can Hispanics get accepted?
  • Graduate College Prep
  • Pass all GHSGTs
  • Take Honors and AP courses
  • Meet SAT or ACT score requirements
  • Secure funding for tuition and other related
    costs

    costs)

6
What does educating undocumented residents cost
taxpayers?
  • Producing educated people who are motivated to
work will increase income tax base and boost
    economy
  • The more education that motivated individuals
receive, the more money they will make and the
    more taxes they will pay

7
Why should we help illegals?
  • Some are here of no fault of their own their
    home countries are foreign
  • They are NOT taking American jobsusually, they
do jobs we dont want to do
  • However they arrived, they ARE HERE (and not
going anywhere) and are human. Is it humane to
    deny them education?
  • We should do what is RIGHT.

8
How can we help?
  • There are scores of local, Georgia, and national
Foundations that are designed to help both
    legally documented and undocumented people
    receive education.
  • Ray Yody has information if you are interested in
giving (remember the tax benefits for charitable
    contributions)
