TRIP ON LAKE GARDA
  • After their Italian lesson and lunch they will
    have a trip on the lake. Students will have the
    opportunity to visit Garda and then go to
    Sirmione on the lake and taste the best ice-cream
    in Italy!!!

Our day in Venice
  • After their Italian lesson and lunch students
    will travel to Venice by coach and boat. They
    will have a tour of the centre of Venice
    accompanied by their leaders. They will also have
    Pizza in Venice and will have the opportunity to
    see Venice at night.

  • After their Italian lesson, they will spend the
    rest of the day in Gardaland. Students will be
    provided with a map and must stay at least in
    groups of four. There will be a pre-arranged
    meeting area with a teacher on duty at all times.

Our day in Verona
  • On our last day, after lunch, we will travel to
    Verona and spend the afternoon there. Students
    will have the opportunity to visit the Romeo
    Juliet house, the famous Arena and time
    permitting, they can also do some shopping! We
    will then travel back to Verona airport for
    departure.

The journey
  • If you bring any entertainment for the journey
    or a mobile phone, it will be at your own risk
  • The flight is only approximately a couple of
    hours.
  • Bring something to eat but bring only one small
    drink for your journey to the airport as you will
    not be able to take liquids through controls
  • Only 23 kg luggage allowance per student and one
    piece of hand luggage. Any excess luggage will
    have to be paid for by the student. The school
    will take no responsibility for this. Please
    weigh your luggage!!!

What To Pack?
  • The weather should be good!
  • So you must bring only very light clothing
    (shorts) a hat and plenty of sun lotion (Packed
    in suitcase)
  • But also a light rain jacket just in case

What To Pack?
  • You need to bring sensible, comfortable clothing
  • Dont bring your best clothes in case they get
    damaged.
  • You need sensible walking shoes. Trainers and
    flip-flops would be ideal!

  • General toiletries including 1 towel for
    swimming.
  • One hand luggage (NO LIQUIDS!)

    main suitcase)

Money / Pocket money
  • Small amount of English Pounds for UK airport
    only.
  • Euros sufficient for the duration of the week
    including enough money to buy something to eat at
    the airport in Verona due to possible late
    departure.
  • One big envelope with 5 smaller ones inside for
    each day including Monday. The amount in Euros is
    left to parents discretion within reason.
  • Extra money is only for drinks, souvenirs etc.
    Between 15 and 20 spending money a day should
    be more than a sufficient amount.
  • Each small envelope must have the day, amount and
    pupils name written on it.
  • A 10 damage deposit will be collected from each
    student. It will be refunded on the last day of
    our trip if no damage occurs in their room or in
    the hotel.

Phoning Home
  • You will be able to phone home. There are pay
    phones in the hotel. You can buy phone cardsin
    England.
  • We will organise trips to the phone in groups.
  • N.B. Letting those at home know you are having a
    great time is fine but if you have a little
    problem (e.g. feel homesick, headache, etc YOU
    MUST talk to your group leader first)

Mobile Phones
  • You may bring a mobile phone with you however be
    aware that
  • Whilst abroad you will pay for both incoming and
    outgoing calls and texts. Be aware, they will
    cost a lot more than normal charges.
  • We cannot be responsible for your phone. If you
    lose it, nothing can be done!

Behavioural Rules/Health and Safety
  • Never wander alone and dont leave other students
    on their own.
  • If you want to go into a shop and buy something
    you must ask permission first. Dont just
    disappear!
  • Listen to instructions carefully.
  • Always meet your group leader at the set time and
    place.
  • Please lock your bedrooms every time you leave
    the room.

  • Be polite and sensible. Remember that you are
    visitors in another country and that you are
    representing the school.
  • Look after your belongings. We will not be
    responsible if you lose money, personal property
    or mobile phones etc.
  • Chewing gum will not be allowed on the trip but
    you can bring any other type of sweets with you,
    including some for your LOVELY teachers!

Coach Rules
  • Dont make a mess. Use the bin bags provided
  • No earphones/games when a member of staff is
    using the PA system
  • Respect the drivers as you would teachers
