Extracts from presentation guidelines
  • Supporting evidence. Include evidence that is
necessary to support conclusions or claims you
make. If the evidence is too much to include
on the slide with the conclusion, use a
drill-down approach to assemble your evidence.
For example, include a brief summary of the
evidence on the slide where it is called for and
have a back-up slide you can go to provide more
detailed evidence. You could also distribute a
few additional pages of documentation to provide
    support.
  • Take-aways. Consider including a brief take-away
at the bottom of slides. If you slide has
presented important meaning, let the take-away
answer the question so what? In other words,
given the meaning imparted on the slide, what are
the implications for management action? What
follow-up does the message of the slide call for?

Extracts from presentation guidelines-2
  • Substance value. Slides must clearly and
completely illustrate the substance of the valued
    information being communicated.
  • Avoid having slides merely list topics to be
discussed and expecting the audience to recall
    what was spoken.
  • Slides must convey the valuable substance of your
    presentation by presenting the appropriate
    information and necessary supporting evidence.
  • Power titles. Use power titles which are titles
that capture the essence of the substance of your
slides. Just as you might use headings and
subheadings in a report, let your titles show the
logical flow and communicate the essence of your
    presentation.
  • Slide formatting
  • Include slide numbers.
  • Include a footer that follows the electronic
    submission guidelines.
  • When displaying data, include only relevant,
    significant figures. Avoid unnecessary details
or data that clutters the display.
