• 5. and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet

B. Correlative Conjunctions

• 1. A pair of words working together
• 2. e.g. NEITHER frogs NOR alligators live in the
  desert
• 3. either/or, neither/nor, not
  only/but also, both/and, whether/or

C. Subordinating Conjunctions

• 1. Introduces the dependent clause (or part of
  sentence that needs the other part.)
• 2. A clause has a subject and a verb
• 3. e.g. The desert is harsh BECAUSE it is so hot
  and dry
• 4. after, although, because, before, if, since,
  unless, until, when, while

• 1. Words that show strong emotion.
