(Ret-c) when expressed as percentage of total
blood cell counts (left panel). The difference
remains significant after correction for anemia
(multiplied by Hb hemoglobin). Testosterone
supplementation increased reticulocyte counts in
the younger animals but not in the older ones
when recticulocyte count is expressed as raw
measurements. After correction for anemia, a
significant increase in the product of
reticulocyte x hemoglobin were detected at both
ages in response to testosterone supplementation.
Results are presented as mean SE, N 9 for
each group.
