M-100 Precinct based tabulator
A precinct - based, voter-activated paper ballot
counter and vote tabulator that ensures the
integrity of each ballot Alerts the voters to
over voted races, under votes, and blank ballots
with a beeping noise and LCD display Voter can
decide if they want the M-100 to Accept or
Return the ballot with a simple push of a
button If the Voter selects Accept, the ballot
will go into the M-100 with the rest of the
ballots and the voter has completed the voting
process If the Voter selects Return , the
ballot is returned immediately and the voter may

Voting Process in Jefferson County
Keeping your vote a secret
  • The poll commissioner is the election official
    responsible for properly inserting the voters
    ballot into the ballot box.
  • The poll commissioner will carefully remove the
    optical scan ballot from the ballot secrecy
    sleeve and insert the ballot into the M-100
    (smart ballot box)

Voter Responsibility
In order to ensure that each vote is tallied on
election night , Voters must take responsibility
to do the following
Shade the ovals completely so your vote counts!
  • Each voter must take the time to shade inside the
    ovals on the ballot when voting
  • Do not circle, check mark or draw a line under
    your selection
  • When the Poll Commissioner inserts ballot into
    the M-100, the Voter must remain present until
    the Poll Commissioner verifies that the ballot
    has been accepted

Lets Vote!
  • On Election Day or During Early Voting, mark your
    ballot using the AutoMARK and explore the
    benefits of the voting device
  • Place your ballot into the secrecy sleeve and
    proceed to the poll commissioner who will insert
    your ballot into the M-100
  • Wait until the Poll Commissioner says your ballot
    has been accepted!
