The lenses are removed from the case, the lens
legs are folded out and the lenses are inserted
into corner slots. The charger is deployed in the
sun with circuits aligned E and W and the side
legs are swiveled out to the appropriate sun
angle.

25Conclusions
- We have a 2 year ARRA contract to design and
fabricate small, medium, and larger portable
TJ-LCPV solar battery chargers. - We are procuring Fresnel lenses and cells for
this project. from 3M and Boeing and JXC is
designing and fabricating these solar battery
chargers and delivering prototypes to ARL. - JXC has fabricated four small TJ-LCPV chargers
and delivered two units to ARL. - The design of the medium sized charger is
complete and the first unit has been delivered to
ARL. - Delivery of tracking 36 W and 75 W TJ-LCPV
chargers is scheduled for 2011.
