MISSION

• MISSION Delta Company, 123rd Main Support
  Battalion conducts a day and night live fire MK
  19 Grenade Machine Gun range in BMTA Range 1A NLT
  170900JAN2000 in order to train the battalions
  MK 19 crews.

  Dexheim for Alpha and Bravo Companies and HHD,
  123rd MSB

• 1330 Delta Company draws weapons from arms room
• 1330 OIC picks up range packet from range
  control
• 1400 Delta Company conducts PMI in building
  8215, third floor classroom for Charlie and Delta
  companies.
• Echo Company Ambulance personnel report to Delta
  Company

Safety Briefing Range 1A

• All personnel have the authority to call a cease
  fire if they see an unsafe act. All soldiers are
  safety officers.
• Locate and Mark Dud and Misfire Pit.
• Firing limits are marked with range limit
  markers.
• Take all commands from the command point.
• Keep weapons pointed down range at all times.
• Only the ammo detail is allowed inside the ammo
  point.
• No smoking except in the smoking area.
• Everyone will wear ear plugs and flack vests
  during firing.
• In the case of a run-away gun, keep your weapon
  pointed down range.
• Always assume your gun is loaded.
• All weapons will be inspected by the range safety
  officer.
• Do not attempt to correct severe weapons
  malfunctions.
