  lecturers from organizations such as ADB, ESCAP,
  SIAP staff of NSO
• UN/international reference materials are used
• English and local language depends on
  participants
• Practical exercises included in most programs
• Attendance checked strictly
• Participants are graded

• Junior staff of NSO, other government agencies,
  atoll office staff, island office staff
• Academic qualifications depends on the course
  contents
• Practical experience and academic qualification
  are considered

On Lecturers

• A diploma or a degree holder with 5 or more years
  of practical experience at a higher level
• Qualification and experience in statistics and
  teaching
• Generally from statistical office

On Evaluation

• Training programs are evaluated by participants
• Lecturers are evaluated
• Head of the training unit and head of NSO prepare
  the evaluation forms
• Possible changes are brought according to the
  evaluation
