2Objectives of the Human Resources and Mobility
Activity
- Aimed at the development and transfer of
research competencies, the consolidation and
widening of researchers' career prospects, and
the promotion of excellence in European
research.
3Marie Curie ActionsMain Features
- Opportunities provided for researchers at all
stages of their career - Coherent approach, based on financing
international mobility for researchers - Employ "bottom-up" approach i.e. all fields of
science and technological interest for the
European Community (no priority areas) - Multidisciplinary projects are encouraged
- Promotion of female participation
4Overview of the MC Actions
5Marie Curie ActionsWhats new?
MC Outgoing International Fellowships
For MS/AS researchers to work Overseas (21 yrs)
MC Incoming International Fellowships
For Overseas researchers to work in MS/AS
(2Return)
Grant for MCIF fellows re-establish home links (1
yr)
Return and Re-Integration Mechanisms
MS/AS researchers in 3rd countries (5 yrs) to
return to European centres (2 yrs)
MC Excellence Grants
Establishment of new research teams (4 yrs)
MC Chairs
To attract back European Professorial researchers
(3 yrs)
6Which researchers can take part?
- Early-stage Researchers
- at the beginning of their career
- lt 4 years of active research experience (e.g.
researchers undertaking a doctoral degree) - Experienced Researchers
- at least 4 years of active research experience
or, have obtained a doctoral degree
Eligibility for researchers will depend upon the
years of experience and not the age!
7Criteria for Nationality and Transnational
Mobility
- Must not a national of the state in which they
will be appointed and carry out their research - Must not have been resident or worked/studied in
that state for gt12 months out of the last 3
years - Criteria applied at time of application
(individual actions), or time of appointment
(host actions).
8Host and Individual Driven Actions
