• The predominant share of the housing stock
  from the period 19451989 that was developed by
  the totalitarian state within tight limits in
  size and quality, prevailing owner occupancy and
  severely worsened management and maintenance
  could be considered as social housing in Bulgaria

  and provides financial instrument of 20
  subsidies

  (since 2005) with 30 of subsidy for homeowners
  associations

  living environment and to strengthen and develop
  the principles of civil society

  operate their associations

• CAC activities have been kindly supported by
  MATRA program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
• CAC is supported by Woonbron housing corporation
  within the framework of long-term cooperation

  umbrella organizations from Estonia, Latvia,
  Lithuania, Romania, Czech Republic, etc.

  infrastructure, energy efficiency of heating
  systems and housing buildings, quality of living
  environment

• To provide contemporary legal framework for
  organizing and functioning of homeowners
  associations
• To guarantee the coordinated institutional
  support for bottom up initiatives in urban,
  housing and community regeneration
• To create and implement tailor made approaches at
  local level
• To organize capacity building in sustainable
  urban regeneration and housing renovation
