• 2002 - 2003

• Arose from the successful public/private
  partnership from the G8 Summit
• The BOMA Public Safety Committee is based upon
  the premise that there is no competition when it
  comes to life safety.
• Work began with Calgary Fire Department to
  develop standardized CFD and building responses.
• We jointly developed procedures and practices
• Nuisance Alarm Bylaw
• Emergency Response Planning
• Hazmat protocols

2004 - 2005

• Feb 3/04 Presentation at the Chiefs Monthly
  meeting
• Feb 11/04 Began monthly meetings with A/FM Wayne
  Brown and Insp. Reece Allred to discuss and
  create joint protocols
• April 5/05 Committee updated CFD at the Chiefs
  monthly meeting
• Between Feb 4 and May 3/05, we conducted 2 hour
  information sessions to all 8 shifts at Stations
  1 and 2.
• Topics included

• Human Resources available
• Identification of 6 levels of response.
