  • Holy is from the Greek word hagios
  • The root meaning is different, separate
  • Temple holy separate from other buildings
  • Sabbath holy separate from other days
  • Christian holy separate from the world
  • We are called to be a holy people

Perfect Pattern
  • 1 Peter 116 - because it is written, Be holy,
    for I am holy.
  • All religions are imitations
  • Heathenism creates gods after its corrupt mind
    and thinking
  • Heathenism imitates God
  • Lets go back to the REAL GOD Jehovah.

    the earth and the works that are in it will be
    burned up. 11Therefore, since all these things
    will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought
    you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

  • Know that we will stand in Judgment
  • We will give an account 2 Corinthians 510 -
    For we must all appear before the judgment seat
    of Christ, that each one may receive the things
    done in the body, according to what he has done,
    whether good or bad.
  • All will be judged Acts 1731 - because He has
    appointed a day on which He will judge the world
    in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.
    He has given assurance of this to all by raising
    Him from the dead.

  • Jesus died so we could be different Titus 214
    - who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem
    us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself
    His own special people, zealous for good works.
  • Communion should remind us that we are different
    1 Corinthians 1126 - For as often as you eat
    this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the
    Lords death till He comes.
