Findings of Rail Study
  • Over 87.6 million tons of rail freight crossed
    the entire U.S.-Canada border in
    2001,approximately 62.5 percent of which
    originated, terminated, or crossed the border
    within the EBTC region.
  • Cross-border rail flows are dominated by the two
    Detroit crossings, the Detroit-Windsor and St.
    Clair River Tunnels
