2
What is window film?
  • Window films are thin laminates of polyester that
are bonded to the interior surface of glass
windows and doors of homes and commercial
    establishments.

3
There are two types of window film.
  • Safety Security Films
  • Solar Control Films

4
Safety security window film construction.
  • The components of a typical safety/ security
    window film are shown here.

5
Improves safety and security.
  • Film helps hold glass together if shattered.
  • Increases safety during natural disasters.
  • Creates a safer environment for occupants
    against flying objects and falls.
  • Makes smash and grab burglaries more
    difficult.
  • Protects buildings when vacant.

Solar control window film construction.
  • The components of a typical solar control window
    film are shown here.

21
Helps reduce energy bills.
  • Blocks out a portion of the suns heat during
summer and cuts heat during winter.
  • Reduces the load on HVAC systems, reducing
    energy consumption.
  • The more windows you treat, the more you save.
  • Savings vary based on total square footage of
windows treated, film selected and climactic
    conditions.

22
Reduces fading caused by the sun.
  • Helps keep colors brilliant in fabrics,
    furniture and flooring.
  • Helps eliminate the need for expensive window
    coverings.
  • Keeps views uncompromised.

  • Helps prevent hot spots near windows.
  • Works with not against heaters and/or air
    conditioners.
  • Reduces glare from the sun or snow.

25
Creates privacy and uniform appearance.
  • Window film lets occupants look out while making
it difficult for others to look in during the
    day.
  • Gives the exterior of the building a uniform
    appearance.

26
FTI offers window films that meet every need.
  • Complete line of films available that vary in
color and solar control qualities, also with
varying degrees of thickness for greater
    security.

    or compromise vision.
  • All films come with scratch-resistant coating and
    are easily cleaned.

27
A cost-effective investment.
  • Window films are a smart investment because they
offer numerous benefits for a moderate cost.
