Symposium Developing an International Agenda for
Co-operative Education
Group 1 Student Development - Building a
Theoretical Framework A review of the literature
on learning through work in the relevant areas
of study (e.g. developmental, educational,
cognitive, social psychology, experiential
learning, problem-based learning, economic
theory, organizational behaviour, etc) . Each
member of the group will take on a particular
area of study, summarize the research, and report
in a table form. A summary of the above will
inform a tentative model of work-integrated
learning theory indicating how each of the
previous areas of study help us to understand
learning in this context. We will also identify
pieces of the model that require further
research to explicate the model and inform
practice.
