  • Canadian Fertilizers Facilities
  • Original plant construction started in 1974 and
    was complete in 1976
  • Two products anhydrous ammonia and granular
    urea
  • Original base operations consisted of 2 ammonia
    plants producing 640,000 tonnes/year and 1 urea
    plant producing 475,000 tonnes/year
  • Debottleneck efforts over the years have now put
    ammonia production at 1,100,000 tonnes/year and
    urea at 750,000 tonnes/year

  • From the Medicine Hat Airport to the CFL Plant
    Site
  • From the Medicine Hat airport, take Highway 3
    North to Highway 1, then proceed west on Highway
    1 to the Brier Park Rd exit (at the top of the
    hill). Take this exit north until Brier Park Rd
    curves west.
  • Turn right (north) onto Box Springs Road past the
    old Methanex Plant for 1.7 KM, then turn right
    (east), proceed 1 KM.
