    experienced chorister.

4
Middle Childhood
  • Bach was 9 years old when his mother died
  • Father died 9 months after Bachs mother
  • Bach stole his oldest brothers music and copied
it, because he wouldn't let Bach use it
  • Bach sang in a choir until his voice got hoarse,
then he played violin in an orchestra

5
Early Adult
  • Bach found a job as an organist. The local ruler
had a friend who wanted the job, so Bach was
    without a job

played better then every one on the organ in
    Eisenach

  • Wrote hymn music for Lutheran churches
  • People complained that Bachs playing was too
fancy, and his hymns were too hard to follow
  • Bach got in a fight with a bassoon player, and
accused him of sounding like a nanny goat

  • They later married, and Bach left his job,
because he was tired of working with a second
    rate choir
  • Bach felt that the council didnt appreciate his

Why I Think Bach Is a Hero
  • I think Bach is a hero because he wrote a lot of
music and nobody played it because they thought
    it was too fancy

14
Important Quotes
  • To the glory of the utmost high God, and to my
    neighbor to learn from.
  • There is nothing remarkable about it. All one
has to do is hit the right keys at the right time
