SFX Implementation

• Activate titles in the SFX database for which we
  have access
• If we subscribe to an entire service, this means
  throwing a single switch to turn on all
  titles e.g. ProQuest Research
  Library contains 2,220 portfolios or
  individual journal titles UW-Madison has
  access to all

• If we subscribe only to selected titles within a
  database, this means activating titles on an
  individual basis e.g. Springer Link contains
  1,380 portfolios or individual journal
  titles UW-Madison pays for access to only
  379

  bib records without ISSNs
• 1,672 UW-Madison periodical or newspaper
  holdings without ISSNs in e locations (9/04)

  Voyager
• 179 New periodical or newspaper holdings
  without ISSNs in e locations added to Voyager
  in last 6 months (80 in e,ecco)
