- The purpose of the Seniors Health Research
Transfer Network (SHRTN) is to improve the
quality of health and health care of seniors in
Ontario.

Seniors Health Research Transfer Network
(SHRTN) A government supported joint initiative
convened to facilitate the sharing of knowledge
about health care related to Ontarios seniors.
It envisages a future in which caregivers,
researchers, and policy makers participate in
knowledge exchange initiatives.

- Responsive behaviours have been described in the
research (Cohen-Mansfield, 2000) - Verbally non-aggressive (verbal complaints,
constant requests for attention) - Verbally aggressive behaviours (cursing, sexual
content) - Physically non-aggressive (pacing, undressing,
- handling objects )
- Physically aggressive behaviours
- (spitting, hitting throwing objects, physical
sexual advances and hurting self or others) .

- Attending conferences has a number of advantages
including gaining information and networking. To
facilitate this information dissemination - Small symposium presentations will be utilized
coupled with a webcast function to help send
information to more remote areas - Other innovative approaches will be used during
the symposiums including workshops, networking,
toolkit development and a Knowledge Marché
