Introduction
  • Alcoholism is a serious illness afflicting many
    teenage Americans. Alcohol consumption by
teenagers is a detriment to teenagers health.
Drinking alcohol at a young age impedes
    physiological, emotional, and social development.
Persistent consumption of alcohol can cause
dangerous behaviors and side effects later on in
life, such as physical afflictions and addiction.
  • New York itself is an active city that never
sleeps. That being said, access to certain to
legal substances such as alcohol can fall into
the hands of minors. This can lead to rising
truancy, vandalism, violence, and other social
ills. Combating the problem of teenage alcoholism
not only makes for healthier youth but also for a
    healthier city.

    internet searches, interviews, surveys).
  • Research and evaluate the current policies that
    address the problem.
  • Develop public policy solutions.
  • Select the best public policy solutions.
  • Developing a political strategy.

5
