1Welcome to the OKM Course Selection Meeting
Grade 8 Students Going into Grade 9
2Course Selection Timeline
- A parents signature is required on course
selection forms, which must be returned to the
counseling center on or before Monday, February
25th in order to complete the course selection
process.
3Timeline continued
- Course descriptions and information can be found
on our website http//www.okm.sd23.bc.ca - Students should receive timetables for the
2008/2009 school year in June. - Should a timetable change be necessary, students
will receive instructions and guidelines for that
process when they receive their timetables. -
4Why is accurate course selection so important?
- The master timetable is developed by determining
how many students have selected each course, then
creating enough classes in each subject area to
meet those needs. - If students decide to change courses, there may
not be room for them in another course or it may
not fit into their timetables.
