on NBC assets in accordance with applicable
MIL-SPECs to insure serviceability for immediate
    and out years field use
  • Initial quality control standards are achieved
during the acquisition process and issues are
    remedied during production, therefore JEAP
involvement at PLT level critical to achieving
    cradle-to-grave oversight to the asset
  • Items tested under the direction of the JEAP
  • CBRN protective clothing and equipment

Joint Equipment Assessment Testing Services
Contd.
  • Shelf-Life Extension Testing
  • Shelf-life extension testing at defined intervals
key to monitoring serviceability of assets during
    aging
  • JEAP cyclic assessment involvement augments
consolidation of an items performance data at
specific intervals for easy evaluation of its
degradation for shelf life extension or early
    disposal
  • The JEAP is the focal point for all CBRN
protective clothing and equipment testing and
    data collection
  • Chemical Protective Gloves

  • Test Evaluation
  • Example 1 TAP Aprons failed surveillance
testing due to insufficient seam strength.
  • Source of failure manufacturer testing product
    incorrectly
  • Action taken defined correct testing procedure
  • Example 2 ALO boots failing porosity testing.
  • Source of failure manufacturer testing product

  • Source of issue multiple lots contained in
    single delivery lot
  • Action Taken defined proper lot delivery
    process
