  • THE LAW HAS AN SPECIFIC BUDGET FOR IT
    IMPLEMENTATION PRE ASIGNED" FROM NATIONAL

Gender sensitive budget allows a better
implementation of laws and programs
  • IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE AN SPECIFIC BUDGET TO
FINANCE THE MEDICAL BENEFITS OF THE LAW AND A
OPERATIONAL UNIT MACHINERY TO ALLOW THE CORRECT
    IMPLEMENTATION AND ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES
  • The 2007 budget included a total amount
20,666,979 1.12 are resources for the operation
of Executing Unit Program and total of 20,436,055
to transfer to local operative units

11
Gender sensitive budget allows a better
implementation of laws and programs
  • ALTOUGHIT THE LAW HAS A FIXED BUDGET FOR
FUNDING, ACTUALLY THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT GAP
BETWEEN RESOURCES AND MEDICAL BENEFITS COVERAGE
(THERE IS AN INCREASED REPORTING OF WOMEN USING
THE MEDICAL BENEFITS AND A LACK OF RESOURCES)
  • From 2002 to 2006 the resources aimed for the
implementation of the law has increased from 12
    million
  • to 20 million while the medical benefits used by
beneficiaries increased from 12 millions to 27
    millions.
  • A deficit of 15 for 2005 and 26 for the year
    2006

12
GENDER SENSITIVE BUDGETS CONTRIBUTE TO IMPROVE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL BUDGETS
  • ALTHOUGH THE ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES IS IMPORTANT
EVEN MORE IS THE TIMELY TRANSFER OF THE
RESOURCES NECESSARY TO FINANCE THE MEDICAL
    BENEFITS USED BY BENEFICIARIES.

NATIONAL BUDGET PROCESS AND HOW TO MONITORING
