Moderate Income - There are 2,287 assisted rental units in Bowling
Green - 18 increase over 2003
- Accounts for approximately 11 of all housing
units - January 2008 Homeless Count 136 persons in
Warren County - 22 were unsheltered individuals but shelter was
available

- 22 of renter-occupied households are
cost-burdened - 8 of owner-occupied households are cost-burdened
- Nearly 27 of all cost-burdened households are
young (15-24 yrs) - Cost-burdened means the household pays more
than 30 of their income toward
rent/mortgage/utilities.

- Citys share of cost-burdened households is
slightly higher than Kentucky averages. - 57 of homes sold from 2004-2007 were affordable
to households earning lt80 of area median income.

- Expected Trends
- Higher than normal renter occupancy will
continue, but decrease slightly - Total household demand will increase by more than
8,000 units by 2030 - There is potential for further increase in
cost-burdened households
