Making an Appointment
  • Every effort will be made to accommodate your
    preferred time. Medical and physiotherapy
consultations are by appointment. No appointment
is usually required for nursing consultations.
  • If an appointment greater than 15 minutes
duration is required, please indicate this
preference at the time of booking. This action
will assist in preventing time delay for other
    patients.

Payment
  • PAYMENT
  • The Student Health Service GPs will in most
cases, direct bill Medicare for Australian
resident students. It is recommended that
Students sharing family Medicare cards apply for
    their own card from Medicare.
  • It is also recommended that Australian resident
    students determine from Centrelink
  • their eligibility for a Health Care Card.
  • OSHC Worldcare
  • International students are requested to present
their OSHC Worldcare or OSHC Medibank Private
health insurance details and ECU student ID to
reception prior to their medical consultation.
  • Payment
  • GP consultations provided by the Student Health
Services to International Students with OSHC
Worldcare and OSHC Medibank health insurance
    coverage are generally electronically (direct)
    billed to the health funds.
  • This means that in most circumstances students
will not incur any out of pocket expenses
    associated with their medical consultation.
