Retirement Application
Coordinators role is called out at the top of
the coordination form to eliminate confusion.

Policy Changes
  • Retirement application coordination now includes
Wing Commander or Equivalent, NAF Commander and
Commander, State (JFHQ) roles. Members may now
submit applications to the appropriate approval
authorities and Commanders are no longer required
to maintain additional roles to satisfy an
    inflexible coordination process.

9
Benefits to Airmen
  • All vPC-GR account holders have dashboard.
  • One log-in for all vPC-GR actions/requests.
  • Assigned or delegated roles have process
    oversight.
  • Coordinator e-mails reduced to one daily notice
for all tasks assigned to them in their Worklist
  • Expanded vPC-GR Account Search available to
    locate application coordinators / reviewers
  • MPF/CSS have oversight of the applications to
    view and assist if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q Is there a system check in place to keep a
member from applying for retirement while they
are deployed, with an effective date prior to
    their deployment end date?
  • A Commanders are the check. Even though a
member is deployed, the Commander must recommend
approval or disapproval of a members
    application. It is the Commanders
responsibility to only recommend approval for
those members whose projected retirement is after
    their deployment return date.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Q Once the retirement leaves the Wing CC and
goes to ARPC, how can the MPF know who applied?
When will the MPF know? At present we have no
idea who has applied at the MPF.
  • A With the vPC-GR dashboard, the MPF/MSF/CSS
can view any application for members under their
PAS ID who have submitted a retirement
application. Once the member submits an
application to their commander, the MPF or CSS
    can view it.
